Berlijn 1987 / Berlin 1987 -  ‘Menu der Woche’

• This work is made for the school assignement that I got (in 2010), to make a photographic work about a (great) happening represented in the media, where you have taken notice of. 
• 
  I have chosen to make a work about the fall of the Berlin wall in 1989.
  For my work I took the exact time from one week in the DDR in 1987; the 23th till the 29th of August.
• 
  I have created a work that visualizes the ambivalence between the these days still present feelings of ‘ostalgie’ from people who lived in the DDR, and the (in my opinion) harsh reality of scarcity, poverty and isolation of that exact time in the DDR.
• I have cooked some meals that were described in 'The DDR Cookbook’ and photographed these meals with the analog camera.
